Allan began receiving support from Elmwood’s Supportive Independent Living Program (SILP) in July 2007.

Jack is one of Elmwood’s original residents as his first application to Elmwood was in 1969, the year of Elmwood’s incorporation. Jack is truly a member of the Elmwood family.

Sky’s Story

Sky’s Story

Sky Cuthand grew up in Saskatchewan. Her mom Ruth says Sky is one of the happiest people she knows. Ruth who was a single mom of two, raised Sky and her younger sister at home.

Feteh’s Story

Feteh’s Story

Feteh Derese was born in Ethiopia. She moved from Ethiopia to Toronto in March of 2000 to study. Feteh went to high school in Toronto and completed the Personal Support Worker Course at Centennial College.

John’s Story

John’s Story

Longtime Elmwood resident John Helm was born in Eston, Saskatchewan. He second oldest of five siblings. He left home at about the age of 8 to attend the recently opened John Dolan School in Saskatoon.
